Rocco’s Tacos Announces Flagship New York Location, Opening Winter 2025 in Huntington Station
Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar is proud to announce the opening of its flagship New York location, debuting Winter 2025 at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, Long Island. This exciting new flagship marks a significant milestone for the Florida-based brand as it expands beyond the Southeast and brings its signature experience to Long Island.
Founded by second-generation restaurateur Rocco Mangel, Rocco’s Tacos has become known for its bold Mexican flavors, handcrafted cocktails, lively atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality. The new Huntington Station location will introduce the brand’s vibrant energy to Suffolk County, delivering a destination for authentic Mexican cuisine, one of the region’s best happy hours, and a dynamic late-night dining scene.
For Mangel, the expansion to New York is personal. “Long Island is where I grew up, went to high school, and made some of my most formative memories,” he shared. “Opening a Rocco’s here isn’t just about great food — it’s about coming home and sharing this culture and energy with the community that helped raise me.”
The 5,500-square-foot space at 160 Walt Whitman Road will offer seating for over 200 guests, featuring both indoor dining and an all-season outdoor patio. Under the culinary direction of chef and partner Lisabet Summa, the restaurant will serve a menu rooted in authentic Mexican flavors, with signature items like tableside guacamole, tacos al pastor, and over 150 varieties of tequila. Guests can also look forward to Rocco’s popular All You Can Drink Weekend Brunch, seasonal chef-driven menus, and a craft cocktail program built for both casual dinners and nightlife.
Designed by Manhas Design, the space will blend Rocco’s vibrant aesthetic with touches inspired by Mexico City and local New York architecture. The construction is being led by Racanelli Construction, continuing a family legacy — the same team built Mangel’s late father’s namesake restaurant in Long Island.
Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar – Huntington Station will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch, serving as a new go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.
